Melina LaMorticella is an Associate Attorney in the business immigration team. She has extensive experience preparing temporary work visa petitions for employers and employment-based green card applications. Melina specializes in guiding employees of multi-national companies through consular visa procedures with U.S. Embassies and Consulates around the globe. She also offers guidance to Portland State University students on visas, optional practical training and post-graduate immigration options.
Before becoming a lawyer, Melina worked for more than eight years as an immigration paralegal in Portland. Previously, she was an editor in New York City. Melina received her Juris Doctorate from Lewis & Clark Law School, where she was Lead Articles Editor at the Law Review, and she received a Bachelor's degree, cum laude, from the University of Oregon in English literature. Melina has lived in Tokyo, Japan and Quito, Ecuador and travels widely abroad with her family. She is fluent in Spanish.
